2016 - United States 2016 Presidential Campaign Speeches

Measures the level of populist discourse in speeches, debates, and platforms of presidential candidates in the U.S. 2016 election. Covers 7 candidates from March 23, 2015-November 8, 2016. Data was collected by Kirk Hawkins at Brigham Young University. Available files for download include the coding results presented in an Excel spreadsheet, as well as zipped files of candidates' speeches and the completed rubrics of each coder.
