Yujin Julia Jung

Dr. Yujin J. Jung serves as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Mount St. Mary’s University. Her scholarly pursuits focus on the analysis of populism and comparative political behavior, utilizing advanced text analysis methodologies. Dr. Jung is currently deeply engaged in research on populism, with a particular emphasis on the application of large language models (LLMs) for its analysis. She is also committed to a long-term project investigating populism in Asia, where she continues to make significant contributions to the field. Dr. Jung has previously held research positions at the Institute for Euro-African Studies and the Nuclear Nonproliferation Education and Research Center. She earned her Ph.D. in Political Science from the Harry S Truman School of Government & Public Affairs at the University of Missouri. Additionally, she holds a Master's degree in International Politics and a Bachelor's degree in Policy Studies, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Hanyang University.
