My research interests revolve around the relationship between populism, foreign policy and identity. In particular, I am interested in how populist actors can use foreign policy as a site for creating and sustaining a populist electoral coalition and how a particular notion of "the people" becomes dominant. In addition, I focus on international cooperation and coalition-building among populists.
