Stavroula Koskina is a research assistant currently engaged in the POPREU project. Born and raised in Thessaloniki, Stavroula is a PhD candidate in Political Science at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She holds a Master’s Degree in Political Theory and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and is also an undergraduate student in Islamic Studies at the same institution. Stavroula has further enriched her research experience as a research assistant at Kadir Has University in Istanbul, Turkey, and as a research fellow at the Democracy Institute of the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest, Hungary. Her primary research interests include the intersection of religion and politics, with a focus on Turkey and the wider MENA region.
