Bruno Castanho Silva is a post-doctoral researcher at the Cologne Center for Comparative Politics, University of Cologne. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Central European University in Budapest, and his research interests are on quantitative methods, more specifically causal inference, machine learning, and structural equation modeling. His research on populism focuses on the measurement of populist attitudes at the mass level, and on measuring populist discourse by political elites. He is the leader of Text Analysis in Team Populism.
